Jennifer LH Friedman, Doctor of Dental Surgery

Dr. Friedman is originally from Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. She then went on to attend The University of Michigan and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. Dr. Friedman decided to join the United States Air Force while in dental school and was accepted to an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. During this one year residency, she was taught by highly trained specialists in all areas of dentistry. In 2008, Dr. Friedman was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base. While at Ellsworth, she continued to focus on all areas of dentistry and helped the clinic achieve an excellent rating by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) as she was hand selected by the Dental Flight Commander to be observed while performing an IV sedation case and removing impacted wisdom teeth on a patient.

Dr. Friedman is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and The Black Hills District Dental Society. She stays up-to-date on the latest changes in dentistry and has completed the Synergy Training Program for Implant Dentistry through Biomet 3i, has attended four Spear Seminars, is a member of the local Spear Study Club, and is currently completing the Kois Center Curriculum.

Dr. Friedman and her husband, Josh, fell in love with Rapid City, SD and decided to make it home. They enjoy taking their English Springer Spaniel, Lucy, out hiking and camping. She also enjoys biking, swimming, and baking. Dr. Friedman and her husband have three children, Logan, Lucas, and Levi.

Holly, Registered Dental Hygienist

Holly is from Scenic, South Dakota, the heart of the Badlands, and a place she calls home. She has been in dentistry for 19 years. She graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown in the dental assisting program in 2000. After experiencing 13 years of dental assisting, she decided to further her education in dentistry and go back to school to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. She completed her generals through Black Hills State University and then graduated from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming, from their dental hygiene program in 2015. She has been a part of the dental team at Dakota Family Dental for three years. She has a passion for dentistry and enjoys caring for patients in the community to meet their dental needs with her experience and dental skills. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. She especially likes spending time with her husband, Mike, her son, Taten, and her daughter Taisley. Linda was born in Boston, MA, but grew up in Lander, WY. She went to dental assisting school at Parks School of Business in Denver, CO. She has been working as a dental assistant for 41 years. She and her husband, Pat, have a daughter, Megan, and a son, Ryan. They also have one granddaughter, Cadence. She loves anything to do with basketball and football, especially the Broncos, Michigan State, and Wyoming Cowboys. She also loves to travel, play golf, garden, and hang out with her family.

Marin, Registered Dental Hygienist

Marin graduated in 2015 from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. Marin and her husband, Cody, are from Sioux Falls, SD and moved to Rapid City in 2015. They enjoy spending time outside rock climbing, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Before becoming a dental hygienist, Marin and her husband lived in many different National Parks. Marin volunteered for Search and Rescue as an EMT while her husband worked as a Law Enforcement Ranger. After a few years and many different parks, they decided to return to South Dakota and enjoy life in the Black Hills. Marin and her husband have a daughter, Aspen, and a baby girl expected to arrive in December 2019.

Susan has been in practice for 43 years. She earned her BS Degree from the University of South Dakota in 1976. She enjoys the long-term relationships she has developed with her patients as well as meeting new patients. Susan believes in the importance of preventative dentistry. Susan and her husband, Scott, have two grown daughters. In her time off, she likes to spend time with her grandsons. She also enjoys golf and bowling.

Syreeta, Certified Dental Assistant

Syreeta was born in Newmarket, England, and brought up in a military family. At the age of four, her family moved to Rapid City and they haven’t left since! She was a cosmetologist for 13 years before deciding to change her career into the field of dentistry. She graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant in August of 2018 and is also certified to administer Nitrous Oxide. When she is not in the office, she spends all of her time with her three boys, Terrell, Trindon, and Treyvin. They enjoy spending time outdoors, at local sporting events, and traveling.

Mary, Business Assistant

Mary has been in the dental field since 1982. She started as a dental assistant, and after six years, she moved to the front desk where she has done it all. She was born in Seville, Spain, on an airbase. Her dad was in the Air Force and met her mom in Spain. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Mary and her husband spent some time in Texas but have come back to Rapid City to be closer to their two children and five grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their friends and family and riding their Indian motorcycle in the Black Hills.
